Professional development

In the year up to BESIG 2011 in Dubrovnik I focussed on people’s attitudes to blended learning. This was very interesting and very productive, and was truly professional development for me. This year, I am planning on looking at the theme of professional development in the ELT business. What can we truly consider to be PD? What is available and what is not available? What do teachers actually do for professional development? What would they like to do? Why don’t they? I would welcome any input on this theme you might care to give.
