Title: “Learning technologies in language teaching – where are we? Where do we go from here?”
Speakers: Kevin Westbrook, Pete Sharma
Summary: This workshop will take the form of group discussions of topics decided on the day concerning the current situation regarding learning technologies in language teaching and the likely way forward. After collecting the results of these discussions and feeding back, there will be an open discussion. The goal of this workshop is to use the empirical evidence from the participants to gain a better understanding of the problems, difficulties and opportunities relating to this field and how the situation can be improved in the future, if indeed it needs to be! Subsequent to the conference, the presenters will write an article based on the results and make this article accessible to all.
