It was nice to see some of the plans and ideas on the new interactive phonemic chart being demonstrated by Adrian Underhill at TESOL in Seville this afternoon. He used his finger on a Smart board to pull down various symbols from the chart to make the word ‘ice cream’ – and also, the audio files behind these symbols. In a future activity, the symbols pulled out in this way will leave a space in the chart, so students can come up and drag them back into the correct position! Nice.
