I must say it is wonderful to return to the land of my birthplace after so many years. I had forgotten all about the assault on the senses – the colour and noise and chaos that is India.
This morning began with my first cup of masala tea and then a mad drive to the conference venue. What a start to the conference – with music, and speeches full of that Victorian prose which characterises part of Indian English.
I enjoyed the opening plenary speech, a retrospective on the fascinating “hole in wall’ project by Professor Sugatra Mitra.
